Hiboux is a high quality 18th Century charentaise Farmhouse
and Cottages situated in a small hamlet with outstanding views,
5 km from the market town of Chef Boutonne, in the Deux Sevres
region of France. The properties share a swimming pool and boules
pitches in 3 acres of enclosed garden and grounds.
Les Hiboux is owned by a couple with a small child who know
the importance of creating a holiday environment that maximises
the enjoyment of both parents and children. To call the garden
and grounds an adventure playground is perhaps an over-statement,
but there is much to stimulate and provide hours of pleasure
for the children. This in turn allows parents to relax on the
terrace or poolside, knowing that they don't have to continually
think of what next to do with the children. Meanwhile out of
season guests, without the constraints of school holidays can
enjoy the property in all its peace and tranquility.
There is much of  interest
in the area but some groups have spent the entire happy holiday
within the grounds.
In the garden are a football pitch with goal posts, swings,
a slide and a children's cabin, a sunken trampoline, a safely
fenced carp pond and a swimming pool. Two boule pitches allow
children to use one while Mums and Dads can use the other. Bicycles
for all ages and a games room with pool, table football and
darts are all available while another large barn houses the
table tennis table. There is also a wide range of toys, books
and board games.
To lighten the travel burden, cots, highchairs and other equipment
are available upon request. Videos and DVDs are also available
for your entertainment.
Deep in the French countryside, this is truly a holiday haven.
